The diffusion of concrete and imported materials is leading to an irreparable loss of expertise in malian’s traditional technologies and local materials, enhancing communities’ dependence on importation, thus arresting their own development and resilience. The main objective of the project is to use passive cooling techniques in combination with Compressed Earth Blocks to provide the community with a pleasant school environment in spite of extreme temperatures and lack of electricity.
