RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

At Chiwarà Project, Research and Development (R&D) lies at the heart of our mission to create sustainable and innovative construction solutions. We focus on advancing ecoconstruction techniques that reduce environmental impact while improving the quality and adaptability of buildings, especially in remote areas.

Our R&D approach revolves around three key pillars:

  • Feasibility Studies: We conduct in-depth analyses of socio-economic and environmental conditions to evaluate the viability of ecoconstruction techniques. This includes market research, desktop studies, and mapping to identify the most suitable and scalable solutions.

  • Impact Evaluation: Through comprehensive socio-economic and environmental analyses, we assess the effectiveness of different techniques. We utilize Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to measure environmental impact and identify areas for improvement, ensuring our techniques align with local needs and global sustainability goals.

  • Technical Development: Building on insights from feasibility and impact assessments, we focus on improving construction techniques and materials. Our R&D team explores innovative solutions, especially biosourced materials, to develop high-quality, low-carbon alternatives that meet structural, architectural, and environmental performance standards.

Through these efforts, we aim to create ecologically and economically sustainable solutions that benefit both local communities and the environment.
