Operating from our base in Mbour, Chiwarà Project plays a pivotal role in promoting sustainable, low-carbon construction throughout Senegal. Our primary focus is the use of the Nubian Vault technique, a method that utilizes locally sourced materials like earth bricks to reduce environmental impact and ensure thermal comfort without relying on electricity. This approach allows us to deliver high-quality, durable buildings that are adapted to Senegal’s climate while fostering local expertise.
We have implemented a variety of écoconstruction projects, including educational facilities, healthcare centers, and community infrastructure, all built with sustainability at the core. Notable examples of our work include the Godel School Extension, a project in partnership with Let’s Build My School in Djilakh, and the Kassack Maternity, which serves as a model for environmentally friendly healthcare facilities. These projects are realized through close collaboration with local partners, including Nubian masons such as Ilboudo Danaya and design studios like Astel GC.
Our mission in Senegal is to drive sustainable development by leveraging traditional techniques like the Nubian Vault while integrating modern construction management tools. This allows us to ensure that every project—whether in rural or urban areas—contributes to the social, economic, and environmental well-being of the local communities
